Copernicus Coalition Charter
  • RetticRettic June 19

Law is for those under the blind notion that the skies have bounds. Lawlessness is for those so lost as to think she has none.

Then there's us. The honest void between. The black knights of the empire's rim. The ronin of the borderlands.

We are the independent drifters of low-sec space that ride between skies crowded with ungoverned governments to one side, and unchecked alliance giants on the other. We are not tools for any mega-corporation. We're a network of soloists, rangers, traders, bounty hunters, explorers, and entrepreneurs bound only by our common will to get by another day—because as long as our skies are free, so are we.

    Overview

The Copernicus Coalition is a network of independent pilots and small corporations working to make low-sec livable for the common player. Joining the Coalition grants you access to an in-game channel and an online forum where we share intelligence and resources, request help when in need, plan operations, share teachings and learnings and general musings about EVE. We are not a formal Alliance, yet, because we are committed to remaining fully casual as an organization, and equal as pilots. There is no hierarchy. There are no formal commitments or required ops. No obligations, just good company.

Who the Copernicus Coalition is for

The coalition is for solo pilots and small corporations (less than ~20 members) that wish to remain free of tough commitments—whether due to lack of game time, or just simply wanting freedom to play as they wish—but would like the benefits of a network of pilots to keep space less lonely, and low-sec more survivable.

It is for those that find high-security space too safe, but null-sec too bloated with large-scale warfare. Or those that want to make low-sec their home, for professional reasons, but may have found the risk too high for their practices. Our intelligence network will attempt to shed light on pirate activity in tight regions, and our willingness to help each other will be our defense. We believe low-sec should be as much a home to solo industrialists and explorers as it is a harbor for piracy—and we aim to balance this equation.

Welcome Professions (but by no means limited to)

    - Industrialists
    - Traders
    - Bounty Hunters
    - Explorers
    - Planeteers
    - Mission Runners
    - Haulers
    - Mercenaries

    Who it is not for

There are only a few things that will warrant a ban from the coalition: engaging in piracy, sharing intelligence with pirates, or being a troll. We define piracy as a destructive act toward any ship or pilot with a security status higher than -5.0 in low or high security space (what happens in null-sec, stays in null-sec), unless acting in self-defense. Demanding ransoms is always piracy. We define being a troll as being a douchebag.

We also ask that you keep your sec status above -5.0.

    How do I join?

Right now, entry is open. Apply for membership on the forums.

Entry will normally be granted on an invitation-only basis by any existing member of the Coalition. If you do not know a member of the Coalition already, contact Rettic and something can be arranged.
